Our School Day.

8.35am – School gates open and children will go straight into class.

8.35am – School starts and register opens

8.45am – Register closes

If children arrive before 9.00am they will be marked down as Late. If children arrive after 9.00am they will be marked down as Unauthorised. If the school gates are closed you will have to use the main gate and entrance via the school office.

The school day finishes at 3.15pm and the school gate will open at 3.15pm

Drake’s C of E Primary School is committed to maximising the achievement of all our students. There is a clear link between good attendance and educational achievement.
 
Drake’s C of E Primary School offers total weekly hours of 32.5 for compulsory attendance.
Uniform
 
Our uniform is:

Grey school trousers, shorts, skirt or pinafore dress

(Summer) Bottle Green checked summer dress
 
White shirt or polo shirt or bottle green school polo shirt

Grey or black socks/tights or white socks Black school shoes

PE - Black/green shorts or jogging bottoms, green school PE t-shirt. Suitable footwear for sports—black, grey or white socks.

No jewellery - earrings must be removed or taped.

School baseball hat in sunny weather

Long hair must be tied back please.

School Dinners
 
School Dinners are available every day, there is a choice of main course, a vegetarian option or a filled jacket potato and a dessert.
 
These are £2.50 per child, per day, payable in advance please.
 
You may also provide a packed lunch.
 
All children in Key Stage 1 (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2) are entitled to a Universal Free School Meal.
 
Some children outside of these year groups may also be eligible and it is important that we identify these pupils because we can get valuable funding for our school of up to £1320 per child. if you think you are eligible please follow this link to apply: Devon Citizen Portal - Free School Meals Application
